Beck is right. The petitions to secede are a bad idea.
Do the people who signed them really think that they're not in for major scrutiny from the federal government? Do they really think that they're not going to get audited by the IRS, pulled over by the cops, and investigated by DFS and lose their kids for the slightest offense?
I understand where they're coming from. I really do. But this is so fucking stupid that I can't even articulate it properly.

ReplyDeleteIn other situations, they (Valerie Jarrett) has sworn revenge on those that oppose them. It's not like there isn't a precedent.

DeleteWell, hubby and I signed the Kansas version...hell, we've nothing to lose...no vast savings thanks to the failing economy, few assets. I've been nothing but outspoken on Facebook, my cracks about the Kenyan Dogeater insured that. I've no doubt they use my file alone to boost the mental midget currently occupying the Oval Office above the edge of the desk.
ReplyDeleteNOBODY wants to see the Union shattered...I can't imagine how that would play out, but it would be messy I am sure. HOWEVER...the message must be sent to the 'Central Government' that states' rights, as well as individual rights, are being attenuated every single day by the current administration...AND WE AREN'T GOING TO TAKE IT.
If you don't have the intestional fortitude to sign the petition for your state, stand back and allow those of us who do to do so without hearing how stupid we are. Sometimes you have to speak!
