An open letter to the Republican Party leadership

To Whom it May Concern:

Ladies and Gentlemen, you are no different from your opponents.  Every last one of you that chooses whose turn it is to run for President this time have the same ultimate goal in mind as the Democrats: power unto yourselves, and an eventual Progressivist Transnational paradise.

Fuck.  You.  We the people don't want that.

Had you noticed that recently, voters have been less and less enthusiastic about their choices?  I would be willing to bet that people didn't see a real difference between the candidates this time, either, and either voted for the incumbent because he at least already knows the job, or voted to keep a black man in office to avoid riots and/or accusations of racism.

Stop choosing the candidate that is next up to bat.  Either give us someone we can vote for, and on issues that we actually care about (and social issues don't matter to a people watching their prosperity disappearing through the actions of politicians), or dissolve as a party and give the Libertarian party a chance to field a candidate with enough funding to actually compete.

Actually, why don't y'all do that anyway?  Go away.  Give us a chance at a candidate who believes whole-heartedly in upholding the Constitution.

Someone like Allen West.

But we all know that's not going to happen.  It's not his "turn," and y'all are all about keeping the status quo.

Go to hell.  Just stop trying to take the country with you.

Sincerely,

A disillusioned, disenfranchised voter

    1. In 2016, I will still care. The imp will be eight years old, right on the cusp of puberty, when he'll start wanting to eat everything not nailed down. I'll have to be able to afford to feed that appetite.

  2. Right now I'm mostly concerned about the grabby hands of government figuring out some way to get into my retirement accounts. Which are made up of money I earned but chose not to spend now, so that hopefully I wouldn't be eating cat food as a senior. I'm gonna be PISSED if delayed gratification becomes NO gratification for me, because Lazy Joe or Drug Addict Jane "needs" that money instead.

Sadly, I'm not too convinced that the R is much better than the D about that.

    1. Yeah. You're right about that.

I'm about ready to just start investing without it being designated a "retirement" account. Screw the tax benefits.

  4. Did you hear that Herman Cann wants to break away part of the GOP so now we will have two to choice from.

    1. No, I didn't--I much preferred his platform to Romney's, but Romney's campaign stabbed him in the back very early in the race, and then he endorsed the S.O.B. I'm not too sure I'd trust him not to cave to the GOP when it counted.
