He's defended the voice actor who played Elmo (before abruptly resigning after the first allegation of child sex abuse--not the act of someone who's innocent, in my opinion) by saying, in essence, that it doesn't matter if the man has been screwing children, that he's too brilliant for it to matter.
Kind of like Whoopi Goldberg's comment of "It wasn't rape rape," with regards to Roman Polanski drugging and raping a thirteen year old girl vaginally and anally, despite her crying and pleading with him to stop.
I don't know what's wrong with these people. Moral relativism is obviously a brain-rotting poison.
