Well, DUH!

If the choice is between a constitutional monarchy that's been stable for hundreds of years and a train wreck of a nation that has a new government come to power every few years as the former government collapses, of course the Falkland Islands are going to vote to remain British

Each and every one of the Falkland Islanders needs to arm themselves with military grade rifles.  There's no way Argentina will permit this to stand without an invasion.  There's too much oil in them thar British territories.

  1. hmmm I was thinking that I last week I saw a headline where Argentina was backing off.

About 6 weeks ago I remember reading where one of their warships mysteriously sank while in port.

    1. I'm less concerned about a successful invasion--Argentina is less competent than King Putt--but it would suck to be wrong, and have these people suffer while waiting however long it takes for Britain to send troops to boot the invaders out.

  2. Well, here in the US we seem to be reliving the 1970s, so why shouldn't 1982 repeat somewhere else in the world?

    1. Because we're heading for 1935 at a break-neck pace? Everything's just screwed up everywhere, isn't it?
