FFOT: late, I know...

Forgetting what day of the week it is can FTFO.

Rabid mold growth causing multi-week sinus problems in both adults in a four person household can fuck the fuck off.  Hot tea is no longer working.  Pseudo-Sudafed barely takes the edge off, and I can't take the real stuff.  Chili for lunch helped, but I'm not sure if I can take chili for supper, too.

The university "upgrading" student email accounts just before semester starts can fuck the fuck off.  Odysseus is having issues getting into his account to double-check for important announcements before classes start.

Kids acting out because they're bored and stir-crazy when you feel too shitty to take them outside can FTFO.

Politicians and naked money grabs can FTFO.  Thanks again, Governor Nixon, for being such a fucking douchenozzle, and signing that crap sandwich into law.

I think that's all, but someone's packed my sinuses with heavy clay, and I can't think straight.

  1. The roll-out of Obamacare can FTFO. What we can and cannot do in re: hiring students for part time work is changing DAILY based on the question of "are we gonna have to offer them benefits."

This is screwing with everyone. Several people I know now have surprise unpaid overloads because of the 29-hour rule. (They are full time, their department realized they couldn't lean as heavily on the part timers as they once did).

Also, if the uni lawyers are misinterpreting the new rules, they can F off. Or the people who wrote the rules in a confusing enough way a LAWYER can't figure it out can f off.

    1. The lawyers aren't misinterpreting anything--the law is a shit-pile of epic proportions, and a badly written shit-pile, at that.

  2. I'm feeling the same way this morning. Nothing in particular, just bleached out. Maybe it's a new virus we've got and we just don't know it yet.

    1. Maybe. Or maybe I just need more sleep, or my thyroid meds upped a bit.

  3. After 6 weeks of be assaulted by various viral bugs, I finally got tired of fighting the migraines (remember those, H?) and went to the Doc and got something for the sinus infection I had.

I feel for you on the Sudafed issue. I can take the real stuff. Have you tried a mucous thinner like regular Robitussin?

    1. Tried some. They don't work for me very well. Anti-histamines work better, but knock my butt out (Benedryl is the worst about that--one tablet puts me out for almost a full twenty-four hours). Turns out that diuretics help a lot.

Maybe I'll just get some Midol.
