Our new pretty...

I am going to have to take this to a friend of ours who has a lot more experience and expertise than Odysseus and I could ever dream of having, before I decide if it will be a carry piece for me, because I fell in love with it the instant I held it.

    1. Thanks. It's been on my lust-list for a while, and we found it for a *very* reasonable price. The barrel's very clean, and shiny; there's a bit of wear on both ends of the slide; otherwise, it looks pretty much perfect.

And I'm afraid to take it out and shoot it, for fear it's worth twice what we paid for it, or more.

    1. Thanks, Sharon. I just hope it's a shooter, not a safe queen. It's sized exactly right for my hands.

  3. Beautiful Ms. H. Remember, she's a shooter even if a "Queen". Isn't that the purpose of royalty, the protection of their subjects?? Enjoy!!! Now I kinda picture you in a flapper hat and dress with a thigh holster . . . .

    1. Hmm...not a bad idea. I'll have to see what I can find within my budget.

    1. It's a Colt 1903 hammerless (sort-of: the hammer's covered for concealed carry in a jacket pocket) in .32acp. The number on the side indicates that it was manufactured in 1911. It's the smaller, older brother of the 1911, and also designed by John Moses Browning.

      Pretty, isn't it?
