I honestly thought the pixie would be the more upset of the two. Not so. My imp wants the pixie home: "I want my pixie back here, where she belongs. She belongs with us, not with Grandma and Grandpa!"
And I thought "Oh, that's so sweet that I'm gonna get cavities!"
And then, he goes and spoils it: "I belong with Grandma and Grandpa!"

I have nothing profound to post, although I am smiling.
ReplyDeleteI know. I love my kids. They crack me up as much as they frustrate me.
DeleteKids are enamored with treats and special attention.
DeleteI can still remember going to a friend of my grandmother, who treated us with a chocolate peppermint treat. I don't remember a name, face or much of anything else, but I do remember the longing of a repeat visit.
It's hard to give each of the kids their own special attention.
DeleteKids learn fast. "There is no us, there is only me."
ReplyDeleteThat's true, except for when we're out in public, and somebody looks at her for too long. Then, the imp puts his arm around the pixie, and glares at whoever is staring.
