New York Senator Kirsten Gildebrand wants us all to celebrate Mother's Day by donating to an organization that sets up women who don't want to be mothers with appointments to legally murder their babies.
Umm...what? How does getting pregnant then killing the baby entitle someone to celebrate Mother's Day? And why the hell would donating to a pro-abortion lobby be a good celebration of Mother's Day?
Someone needs to alert the senator that, like it takes more than donating sperm to be a real father, it takes more than just getting pregnant to be a mother. It takes a lot more to be worthy of being honored even by a stupid holiday made up to assuage the guilt of not appreciating Mom's work every other day of the year, and to separate people from their money to assuage that guilt.
