I woke up this morning, just before seven, because my pixie had started squalling. I got up...only to find that her brother had slammed her door open, waking her up. Again.
I got her back down, and gave him a choice of going back to bed, or getting spanked. Guess which he chose?
Apparently, he managed to fall back asleep. Things are...quiet...this morning.
But I'm still so mad at him that I could just scream.

Snips and snails and puppy dog tails.
ReplyDeleteHe'll learn to be more careful as time goes on. Could be a lot of time, but he will learn.
Deep breath, have some coffee, make him apologize, and give them both a hug.
He's spending the next couple nights at his grandparents' house. He got lots of hugs, kisses, and tickles from Mommy before we left him there.
DeleteMy advice was more for your piece of mind than his, but whatever works. I sometimes have to be reminded why it's worth putting up with parenting.
DeleteI hate leaving him with his grandparents. I miss him when he's not here, no matter how much he loves spending time with his grandparents. And no matter what a little pain in the ass he's capable of being.
DeleteYou gave him an option?? I'd have given him the spanking and then sent his stinging behind back to bed.
ReplyDeleteI gave him the option because he was already crying and going "I sorry!"
DeleteAnd because he screams like someone's killing him, and I'd just gotten the pixie put back down.
Silence is golden...duct tape is silver. They can't scream if their lips are sealed.
