Spectacular.

Odysseus got the job.  Now, all I need to do is find a babysitter to watch the kids for the duration of an NRA banquet that the boss asked him to go to.

    The pay is pretty decent for the area--hourly plus a small percentage commission. And he needs a fun job after the soul-killing payday lending/check cashing place that didn't permit him to stop or even limit the amount that seniors et. al. on a fixed income could take out at an interest rate of $17 per $100 borrowed every two weeks. He'd have people bringing in $585, and immediately taking $500 back out.

    Yeah, there won't be any of that where he's going. And he won't have to do collections. And he likes the merchandise, and knows more about it than most, though less than some. And the boss thinks well enough of him already that he'll likely be either opening or closing the shop (so the boss doesn't have to do both).
