Putting the "vice" in vice-mayor...

A former vice-mayor of Kingsport, TN, recently got arrested for a plethora of charges, including indecent exposure, for masturbating out of a car window while driving 90mph.   Apparently, he's been doing this for three or four years, and only now has someone written down his license plate number, and called in a complaint.

All I could think was: "Hm...too bad he didn't hit a wasp."

Overqualified for the position.

A man who's out on bail for murder, rape, pimping, and pandering has thrown his hat in the ring to run for a city council slot.

It bothers me that he's already on the school board, and that they haven't kicked his ass off of it, but I do believe he may be overqualified for any political position he runs for, from city council level all the way up to national level.

Why he isn't in jail is beyond me...

Cody Slaughter applied for a job with the Border Patrol agency, and admitted during the interview that he was far more qualified to be a TSA agent: he admitted to having molested a two year old girl, as well as having inappropriate relations with a pig, a dog, and a horse.

He admitted this, a search of his home turned up proof of this, and law enforcement let him go without pressing charges.

With any luck, somebody will decide that he's looking at their toddler in just the wrong way, and remove him from the gene pool, and save the taxpayers from having to foot the bill for trying him, finding him guilty, then housing, feeding, and caring for him for a few years.  Hopefully, in the most painful way possible.

Yeah...right...

Okay, we have yet another pervert giving college professors a bad name.

I'm definitely going to be making sure my kids learn enough as they get old enough to get curious and understand it, exactly how that sex stuff works.  Yes, that also includes age/maturity appropriate information on masturbation, kinks, and explicit consent.  I will absolutely not trust anyone else to teach my kids this.  Especially not someone who locks a classroom door, then shows porn.

(I'm also planning on teaching my daughter that, until and unless she finds someone that really cares about her as a person first, sex by herself is going to be a whole lot more fun and satisfying (and much less frustrating) than sex with a boy.)

I have to wonder, though: what was a childhood rape survivor doing in a human sexuality class?

Hauntingly familiar.

I'm going to go get something to drink in the hopes of staving off nightmares.  This story is hauntingly familiar in the defense of the dirtbag baby-raper--I heard a lot of this when I was younger: “It’s almost incredulous, there’s no way I could believe such a thing… I support [him] 100 percent; hopefully it will all come out in the investigation.”

Only, it wasn't porn but the acts that was being remarked upon.  And a minister is far more a hero of a small community like I grew up in than a gay rights activist is to the far left.

There was no investigation of my case.  No prosecution.  It doesn't look like this evil son of a bitch is going to get the same treatment, thank God.

Save the taxpayers' money...

Take Sandusky off suicide watch.  If he kills himself, we don't have to deal with paying for appeals, medical care, or three hots and a cot.  We don't have to pay to prosecute someone in jail who deserves a public service award instead of an extended sentence for murdering a pervert.  And most of all, we don't have to worry about whether he'll ever be released to rape any more little boys.

Random ramblings

The imp has gone two full days (today will make day 3, if he makes it) without having any accidents in his big-boy underwear.  I think we've finally turned a corner.  I never realized, on a gut level, how exciting it is when a little one gets mostly toilet trained.  Nor did I realize what a relief it would be.

It's already cut our diaper budget in half, since he only wears them at night, now.  Instead of being $70/month for the two of them (thank God they're in the same size for logistics purposes), we're spending $35 on diapers, and about $28 every two months on Pull-Ups (that aren't needed any longer, except for nap time or long car trips).

The pixie is demonstrating a lot of signs of being ready to potty train, but...I've had her sitting on the potty chair, and she'll get up and squat to piddle on the floor.  I don't think she's quite got it, yet.

She is really picking up in the speech department--she uses a lot of two word phrases, ones that she puts the words together, not rote-learned ones.  She makes definite requests for what she wants to eat, and eats really well.  She's starting to try to narrate her actions, or her brother's actions.

I got both my textbooks revised (this makes the third "edition").  If anyone wants to see what my students are doing, shoot me an email, and I can send you a copy.

I really hate the platform we use for our distance learning classes.  Blackboard sucks, and sucks in a bad way.  The version we have isn't compatible with the most recent internet browsers, doesn't support Chrome at all, and regularly FUBARs when we try to change our classes around to better serve our students.  Better yet, the university has to pay through the nose to upgrade to fix the issues.

Writing is going pretty well--I've been playing with different ideas for ordering the stories in my gods anthology.  I think I may have a good idea: part one will be sort of interconnected short stories, part two will be a novella dealing with a bit of overarching plot, and part three will be interconnected short stories dealing with the aftermath of the main plot.

The verdict in the Sandusky case is particularly satisfying for me.  I really feel a lot of sympathy for, and empathy with, his son: my male genetic donor did exactly the same thing that Sandusky did.  While he wasn't a big, division I university assistant coach, my male genetic donor was a good ol' boy pastor in a small town, was friends with half the cops and most of the judges, was on the bowling league, and volunteer coached little league, and sixth grade girls' basketball.  He didn't give a damn about the sex of the child.

He was never prosecuted, despite my sister and me (as well as a lot of other kids) telling what he was doing.  He was never investigated.  Most of us were never believed.  A good chunk of my family still doesn't believe my sister and me.

So yeah, Sandusky going to the pokey (may he have a cell-mate twice his size, twice his strength, and who thinks he's pretty) is particularly satisfying.  At least some pedo creeps get some of what they deserve.

To tell you the truth, he deserves to be buggered with a red-hot iron rod twice the size of his arsehole.  It was good enough for Edward II of England, after all...

Well, duh.

If Sandusky is willing to rape any child, there's no guarantee he won't rape his own.

He doesn't need a prison sentence.  He need to be put down for the mental and emotional well-being of his past victims, and to prevent him from victimizing any other children in the future.

What is with those people?

Who the hell is against an organization that fights child sex slavery?!  Occupidiots must be of perverts as the party they typically vote for.

Yet another reason I'm homeschooling my kids

Listen.  I understand that the vast majority of parents are falling down on the job where "the talk" is concerned.  I get that.  I understand that it's better for teenagers to get factual information than to listen to their friends' odd ideas about what does and doesn't get someone pregnant.

I do not think a discussion of how oral and/or anal sex works is appropriate for eleven year old children.  I don't think eleven year old children need any discussion of how sex works at all, other than information to help them avoid being victimized by child predators.

I absolutely think that a public school has no place having that discussion with a fifth grade assembly.  I will not permit my children to be subjected to treatment like that.

I am just shocked!

Shocked, I tell you!  What do you mean Al Sharpton might have had his hand in a criminal enterprise?  He's a minister!  Ministers don't do things like that, any more than they molest little children, then go to work for the TSA!

Wow...

A Moroccan girl killed herself because the case's judge forced her to marry her rapist.  What would have happened if, like me, her rapist had been her father?

And is the judge going to be punished for this?  'Cause, in my opinion, forcing the girl to continue to be victimized to the point that suicide by rat poison looked like a better idea is tantamount to murder.

Is there a check-box for "fuck off?"

Because any form that asks for your sexual orientation--not biological sex, but your bedroom preferences--deserves no other answer.

I do not know what got into the heads of those that run admissions in the University of California, but I think I can safely say that it's not a legal question to ask.  I mean, if employers can't ask it, what right does a university have to ask?

So, anyone want to bet that the individuals in that system's administration won't mandate that straight, white males must wear a symbol warning women that this individual may commit a sex crime against them, and warning gay men about possible homophobic hate crimes?

What do you think the symbol will be?  Maybe a triangle colored depending on political/religious views?

In case you can't tell, the whole idea seriously irritates me.  First off, what business is it of a state university who sleeps with whom?  Second, doesn't anybody fucking study history anymore?  How can people not see that this is step one to "re-educating" undesirables in "special camps"?

I'm really beginning to be afraid for my profession.  If universities keep doing things that offend the people who pay for their services, those people are going to look at the crap their kids are being spoon-fed, look at the tuition and fees they pay for their kids' constitutionally protected rights to be violated (while they're brainwashed to believe it's for the best), and decide that it's seriously not worth it.

And, in the larger, research-based institutions that rest on their reputations without making sure they're still deserved, I can't say that it is worth it.  The problem is that most of the smaller, teaching- and student-focused colleges and universities are undeservedly tarred with the same brush.

Successful businesses both create new customers and track the habits of existing ones.

And Planned Parenthood seems to have both down pat. (On that second story...isn't that kind of intrusive, voyeuristic, and kind of TMI?)

Kind of sick to see small girls as "future customers."  And when I say small girls, the article cites as young as five.  And what do you want to bet that with the "if you're going to do it anyway, might as well do it right" mindset sets most of these girls up for the abortion side of the trade, without the girls' or their parents' knowledge?

I plan to be the main instructor for my daughter's introduction to reproduction.  No, I won't likely preach abstinence only on a moral standpoint, but I will emphasize it as the best way to emotional and physical health.  Same for my son, but the biggest part of it will be Odysseus's responsibility.

Okay, who are we supposed to feel sorry for?

A bottom feeder nearly got ran over by a pedophile's wife.  I'm having a little bit of a hard time figuring out which is the supposedly sympathetic character in this particular news story.

Sounds like Paterno's case was kicked upstairs.

I'm waiting for Sandusky to join him.  Penn State said of the late ex-coach "Few have done more."  One assumes they weren't talking about protecting the innocent (or making sure their predators were dealt with properly), since Paterno said he "didn't know which way to go" when asked about the grown man that worked for his program, under his authority, fucking little boys in the shower.

A fortunate turn of events

Ran across an odd headline on Drudge this morning, one of those you just have to click on to get the story.

Basically, a man (apparently drunk) shot at a mouse in the kitchen with his 9mm handgun (type undisclosed by the story). Bullet went through the wall, and hit a housemate in the chest while he was in the bathroom. As the police were investigating the shooting, they found the third housemate's girlfriend hiding in the basement.

The guy with the questionable judgement and unreasoning fear of mice was 27, the one in the bathroom that got shot was 28, and the third guy was 34. The third guy's girlfriend was 13.

Wait, what?

Yep, the 13 year old girl had been having a "relationship" with the 34 yo man for several months, sneaking out so her daddy didn't find out about it.

Needless to say, Johnny Perv got arrested and charged.

Thank God for drunk idiots with guns and a fear of mice (even if the other housemate would disagree).

Age does matter, sometimes.

And sometimes, there needs to be prosecution involved, not marriage, even when there is "consent." Like here.

Thankfully, when the family tried to get a marriage liscense for their pregnant 13 year old daughter, there was an investigation into who the father was, and the 27 year old man was arrested.

The sick bastard should have been sleeping with a girl closer to his own age, rather than one that could have been his daughter. I understand that, in some countries and cultures, the girl would have been counted an adult. However, this is not one of those countries, and the culture needs to adapt to what this nation's laws require.

"If there's grass on the field, play ball," does not apply when the age difference is so great.
