WTF?!

Fall doesn't start until Thursday! And it's already snowing in north central Montana!

I guess the warming part of the natural climate cycle is definitely over.

  1. Montana has some of the strangest weather which can literally change overnight. I was stationed in there for four years and loved it. In August 1992, on a Friday, my son's went swimming in the outdoor base pool as it was in the upper 80's outside. By Saturday night, it had cooled down quite a bit out. When we woke up Sunday morning, there was almost 8 inches of snow on the ground...talk about a shock.

In January 1996, we went two weeks straight where the temperature never got above 0 degrees. We had daily highs of -15. On the day it broke, at 8am it was -40 and by 4:30 in the afternoon, it hit the high for the day of 45 degrees. The temperature literally rose 85 degrees in 8 hours. Boy, I love Montana.

  2. I live at 6000 feet----I can see the
HIGH ROCKY MT high PEAKS, and there has been snow on them several times already.

  3. In January of 2005, while I was in Northern Kansas getting my MA, we had two weeks straight of highs in the single digits. It didn't hit the twenties for more than a month, and took another two weeks after that to make it up to thirty degrees. I HATE weather like that, especially when I have to be out in it!

  4. I used to like the cold but as I get older, I find that I don't like it as much.
