Why?
Because government-run hospitals don't follow proper procedure.
I don't like the little weasel, but I have to agree with Democrat Rep. Russ Carnahan:
"This is absolutely unacceptable... No veteran who has served and risked their life for this great nation should have to worry about their personal safety when receiving much needed healthcare services from a Veterans Administration hospital."
Indeed.
From my hospital experiences:
ReplyDeleteVA hospitals, with all with good intents have become part of the Federal bureaucracy and good patient care can not function
well in such an environment!
If you were to look at personnel records of VA employees (including MD's) too many of them would not be hired by
community hospitals, etc.
I would sure like to see the cost of running VA Hospitals versus providing VETS with 'insurance' that allows them free choice
of medical care!
How well do we remember the VA hospital scenes in BORN ON THE 4TH OF JULY......
