There are some people alive only because it's illegal to kill them, outside of them attacking you. Some people are no better than rabid dogs that need to be put down.
1. Jerry Andrew Active--released from jail, and immediately turns around and re-offends. Immediately. Horrifically. Every time he's released. Usually involving sexual assault on a small child. Why he's still being released periodically, I don't know. Why he's still alive is due entirely to a justice system that frowns on putting mad dogs down, no matter how many they've attacked.

If one is against the death penalty, then the solution is to hold the parole board responsibe, make them accessories before the fact and toss them in with Jerry. Im guessing that if the members parole boards were held legally responsible for actions of paroled prisoners, they'd be a bit more careful. I wonder if they can be sued in civil court?
ReplyDeleteGood idea there. I don't think they're currently held responsible, and I don't think they can be sued any more than a sitting judge can be sued for a decision.
Delete"Active was arrested after the couple’s grandson and his wife arrived home from a movie to find 71-year-old Touch Chea and his 73-year-old wife Sorn Sreap dead and the toddler being assaulted."
ReplyDeleteBetter ending: "The coroner pronounced Active dead at the scene. A parade in {grandson's} honor is being held on Tuesday."
Yeah, that would have been a much better ending.
