Urgh... grading.

I hate this part of teaching.  I teach for free--the paycheck is for the grading that goes with it.

      I actually love teaching. Nothing is better than sharing the knowledge and skills I have with those who are willing and happy to learn them.

      Too bad so few actually want to learn what I have to teach...or what anybodyhas to teach.

    Oh, I hear you. On both points.

    I got my first "HOW THE HELL DID I GET SUCH A POOR GRADE ON MY EXAM" e-mail of the semester. Um, maybe because you skipped class a lot? OTOH, I had a student who came in with a bunch of questions before the exam, and who said she was trying to relate what she was learning in my class to what she was learning in other classes....she earned a 99%.
