Iran is holding three days of war games, starting today. I'm betting that President Ahmadinejad is doing this in response to the suggestion that the West, including (if not especially) the US and Israel, does not want him having nukes. Indeed, the Iranian army claims that these war games are to test new weapons and defense plans. They don't quite say what they're defending against, but it's pretty clear that it's one or the other of the Western powers mentioned above, and I'll bet that they fear Israel more than us, currently.
Unfortunately, they may not need to
fear Israel. President Peres has recently said that he opposes open action against Iran. I sincerely hope he's lying. If he's not, he's suicidal: Iran, among others, has referred to Israel as a one-bomb target more than once.
