So.

In the middle of July, the weather is downright cool.  How cool?  In SW MO, the most recent official reading has us at 74 degrees as of 1:53 p.m. today.

Between that, and Odysseus and I both feeling like crap with whatever crud we have, I'm making chili for supper.

    1. Naw, more that the chili will help congestion, and the nice weather enables us to tolerate making chili.

  2. Well hell. It was 85 here today, with 80 percent humidity. I found myself blinking too fast and had to down a quart of Gatorade to keep from dehydrating.

    1. We're more normally in the low to mid 90's during this part of the year, in this part of the country. Low mid 70's is just downright odd.

  3. I'm failing to come up with a time where chili isn't a good idea.

    1. 95 degrees or higher with 70% humidity or higher = chili isn't so much fun to cook in the house.
