FFOT: my right knee

My right knee can so FTFO.  I was sitting down, last night, and it went popCRUNCH.  And then it swelled up, got stiff, and got painful.  And it still is.

Mine does that pretty routinely, a good day is when it is semi- normal! Hopefully it doesn't totally mess up your get up and go.........

  2. You really are too young for this kind of thing. At least it isn't your back.

  3. when you get a chance, please remove the link to my blog from your blog list. There are people listed there I don't wish to be associated with in any way. Hopefully, no hard feelings. Take good care of yourself and the little ones. good bye.

    1. Nope. Popped again today while I was putting my imp down for a nap, and now it feels a lot better. Not all the way, due to seized-up muscles, but most of the way.

  6. I had my right knee operated on back in 1968. It's 'kinda-sorts' OK most of the time.

Now it's my left knee that cracks and pops all the time, and if I'm not careful, it locks up.

Fortunately I can "unlock" it easily.

No fun at all when you joints start acting up!

    1. Mine had arthroscopic surgery in '95, and developed major issues (probably from healing too tight) by '98. Ten years I spent using a cane from October through April or May, and then found that the pregnancy hormones with my first child fixed the problem.

    2. They didn't have that kind of surgery when mine was done, and I was in the hospital for several days, then had some physical therapy, and was on crutches for several weeks.

At least it got me out of PE class for some of my senior year in high-school!

    3. They had to clear a bunch of scar tissue out of the joint for me--without the scope, I'd have probably spent a few months in recovery.

My ankles are deformed: the joint isn't stable, and the achilles tendon is too tight. I trip over my own toes, and have damaged both knees over years. I cannot run, and cannot jump safely. That is what got me out of PE.

    4. I've started using capsacin based crams on my hands and feet. It's not.... pleasant, but it doesn't hurt anymore.

    5. I eat a lot of foods with a lot of capsacin in them...I can vouch for that helping a bit. Otherwise, I just use externally applied heat.
