The imp had an interview with the local non-Catholic K-12 parochial school, today. Odysseus and I were very, very nervous, because one of the imp's favorite tricks is to pretend he doesn't know as much as he does.
He impressed the superintendent by adding 2+2: "Grama and Granpa have two [things I can't remember] and two more [things I can't remember]."
Me: "So, how many things is that?"
Imp (with no hesitation whatsoever): "Dat's four."
Superintendent: "I think he'll do very well with us. How would you like to go to Kindergarten here in the fall?"
Imp: "I would like that. Can I go today?"
So, the next step (which I am just about to take) is to go get the online enrollment done.

ReplyDeleteD'awwwwwww!
He cried when we left. Cried hard. We took him to the park, then to Petsmart (he loves looking at the critters), and then he was happy again.
DeleteSweet!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteI'm glad for you and your husband. Nothing is more unnerving and worrisome than finding the right place for your child to learn. It's good that this is working out for you all.
ReplyDeleteOdysseus gets insomnia when he's worried about something. Got to bed at 3:30 this morning, woke up when I got up, and didn't get back to sleep before it was time for him to get up, an hour later. He should be able to crash tonight.
DeleteI, on the other hand, get queasy. I almost couldn't eat, and did decline the bacon burger that I usually get where we went for lunch.
This is a huge weight off of us, especially as the imp does not want me teaching him.
Congrats! :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks.
