Blogs, this time. At least, it's done for now. I've got a whole 'nother batch of papers coming in Monday. Hiss. Spit. Cuss.
There goes my plans for Valentine's Day. Do you know how long it's been since I've been able to go shooting with Odysseus, instead of trading off who's watching the kids while the other one gets trigger time?

Oh you are all talk and no action. You love being a teacher, and you know it. One person that we highly regarded in life was a teacher. He did not start his career as a teacher, but that was his career later on in life. Many of my friends still talk about him.. LCDR Roy Johnson U.S. Navy (ret.) Our instructor Navy JROTC.
ReplyDeleteA good question to ask, IF YOU COULD CHOOSE ANOTHER PROFESSION, WHAT WOULD IUT BE?
ReplyDeleteRob--it wasn't the job but the timing of the due dates I was bemoaning. I do love teaching, and I do enjoy watching my students grow. It's just unfortunate that Odysseus has the day off on Valentine's Day, and I don't. I was planning our date to be at the range.
ReplyDeleteOCM--1. gun shop owner 2. armorer 3. shooting instructor (or any combination of the three--or all of them). But 1. too expensive to get into; 2. no idea where to even start learning to repair guns like that, or how much it would cost; 3. still counts as teaching, doesn't it?
If I could, I'd offer to grade them for you. I'm single so V-day doesn't mean jack squat to me. Other than really annoying ads on the television...
ReplyDeleteThanks for the offer, Ricki--that means a lot.
