Timing.

The militants in Gaza are willing to talk truce. Again. And only until they've re-armed and are ready to attack again.

Israel is saying that their objective has been accomplished, and that, barring new hostile acts on the part of the "legitimate" government elected by the people, their troops will be out by the inauguration of the new POTUS.

I can't help but see Iran's hand in a) the timing of the escalation of attacks from Gaza, b) how long Gaza held out, and c) Gaza's willingness to talk peace.

After all, with the inauguration of the new POTUS tomorrow, and that individual's pacifist tendencies, Israel's intentions to shut down Iran's nuclear ambitions will probably have to be tabled.

Or done completely black, given our media's tendencies to sympathize with the terrorists.
