Human Rights Lawyer, Journalist Shot Dead in Russia

It's interesting that, within the first couple of paragraphs of the story, it's noted that people who oppose government decisions are frequently targeted.

"'This is a horrible, frightening crime,' said Tatyana Lokshina of the Human Rights Watch."

Indeed. It's meant to be. In totalitarian regimes, you don't fight your government . You don't speak against your government. You don't question your government. Ever.

And this is the U-turn that Russia is accelerating along.
