I can suggest one reform to add gun control that I can get behind.

Check to see if the individual attempting to purchase a gun is a known terrorist.

  1. I have a big problem with this story. There are far too many people on the no-fly list who should not be on it (mistaken names, etc.) and there is some plausible concern that "potential right-wing extremists" (so defined because they oppose tax increases or gun control) may be on the list.

The sales were approved because there was no reason to deny the sales. That is as it should be: no disqualifications, no denial.

Also, Lautenberg is a frickin' scummy politician who never passes up a chance to try to deny guns to anybody.

Eric Scheie and Glenn Reynolds are all over it.

  2. I mean actual terrorists. Not necessarily mistaken names on the "no fly list."
