We didn't learn anything.

Fourteen years ago, the most egregious attack on American soil sent us to war.  Thousands of American civilians were murdered, and our main military headquarters was attacked.

The most visible of the multiple attacks was this:
Take a good look.  Remember.  Remember the fires.  Remember the people who jumped from the upper floors because they couldn't escape, and didn't want to burn, only for their bodies to break on the concrete and pavement hundreds of feet below.

Now.

Tell me you don't still carry the rage from that day in your heart.

Tell me you're not horrified and angry that we are still letting this ideology flourish. 

Tell me you're not terrified by our open borders that permits this ideology to sneak through.

Tell me you're not disgusted that we still let these...creatures...enter our country legally, through diplomatic envoys and student visas.

Tell me you're not outraged by the slow drain of our liberty to create a "safer" nation.

Tell me you're not revolted by the spineless mouth-breathers in congress that did not permit our last halfway-decent president to prosecute the war they unanimously declared to the point where the ideology was defeated, the way we did after the second most egregious attack in December 1941.

If you can honestly say that you don't feel that way, and that nobody you know does, then we, as a nation have forgotten.

  1. I'm still pissed and want payback! I had a long talk with my oldest last night. She understands the world a little better now and what our culture as Americans is up against. I also helped her learn this for an assignment. "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. — That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed"...

    She said her teacher did not explain what particular words mean in that statement, such as endowed, unalienable, instituted, deriving, and consent after handing her a piece of paper and saying "memorize this". After my explanation to her, she understands what the founders were relaying to tyrants and what it takes to keep life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness well protected. We are our children's only advocates. You can bet that mine will see and understand this grand experiment of Liberty for how it was intended to work. Have a great day!

    1. That's one reason my kids are in private school...and why I will be teaching them to use a dictionary within the next couple of years.

      Many of my friends and family are going the homeschool route to make sure their kids have the foundation they need to become good, solid citizens.

    2. We started homeschooling the oldest this year. Still pissed over 9/11. Pissed that people want equality and understanding for muslims (no I won't capitalize that word). I want those fuckers to pay and continue to pay. I want a government that cares first and foremost for America and everyone else a distant second.

    I learned everything I needed to know about Islam that day.....

    1. I did, too, and I have five young Saudi men in my two classes, this semester.

      It hit me a little harder this year than it usually did, and it took everything I had to actually help them today when they needed it.
