Remember this? In this picture, the imp is all of four days old. The monkey is about 8-10 inches long.
Here is the same boy, with the same monkey, two years later. It's really hard, looking at him now, to remember just how small he was.
It's absolutely amazing how they grow.

Interesting in that I have a collection of stuff animals!
ReplyDeleteHe should always keep that stuffed monkey!
Because an adult who has no stuffed animal(s) has lost his/her child within.......
You'd not believe how many stuffed animals the little guy has, and how much he loves them. I have no plans of taking any of them away, or even throwing away the sock monkey he chewed the end of the tail off of. He may not be allowed to play with them for a while (he's teething, and frustrated with language), but they're still his.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, I have been enjoying all the pictures of the kids.
ReplyDeleteWould you believe I just read a blog post this morning about a picture book telling the story of a stuffed monkey fought over by a little boy and the family cat: "I Must Have Bobo!" by Eileen Rosenthal. The pictures are awesome--minimalist but so expressive.
He's adorable! What a guy!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cutie!

It's all that food they eat that does it. ;)
You ain't kidding--that boy eats entire ham steaks by himself, and he's two years old, three feet tall, and all of twenty-six pounds.
ReplyDeleteI do not know where he puts it. Or how to get him to eat vegetables.
