Seen on a post-it stuck on a colleague's computer monitor:

"An MFA is a terminal degree"

Talk about God's honest truth: a Master of Fine Arts is a terminal degree--if you try to depend on that to make a living, you're gonna starve to death.

    MFA for when your "theater studies" degree just can't get you promoted to day shift supervisor.
