Alternate Tylenol and Advil every two hours. The doc says they can't tell which it is without testing the fluid in her lungs, and gave us four days' worth of antibiotic, just in case.

I've been afraid to bathe her, mostly because this seemed to have started out as a cold, and she will not keep her hair out of the water. She's still got the upper respiratory problems (stopped up nose), and I've just been feeding her what she'll eat. Sinus drainage always makes her a difficult child to get food into.

I'll try the bath tonight before bed, and see if that will make her feel better. Viral you just have ...Viral or bacterial pneumonia? Viral you just have to wait out. Bacterial should respond to the antibiotics fairly soon. Cool baths and compresses help some. Comfort food. Cartoons to keep their little minds distracted from feeling like garbage. Gentle rub downs to help the aches. Sleep. As much vitamin c as you think they can handle without exploding. There is also an accupressure point on the left side of the chest an inch or two down and outward from the nipple (more or less under the lower left "corner" of the pectoral muscle/breast) that will help stimulate the immune system. Hurts like a bitch when you find it, but it does jump start the immune system a bit. Daddy Hawkhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01386749814126280114noreply@blogger.com
